Francis Brown, who is missing from her home in Sheffield

Can you help find epileptic woman?

POLICE in Sheffield are searching for missing Frances Brown, who has been missing from her home on Cardoness Road, Crosspool, since 5.45pm on Friday.

The 63-year-old has epilepsy and needs medication.

Frances is just over 5ft tall and was last seen wearing a purple woollen hat, a blue ski jacket and a green scarf.

Meanwhile in Chesterfield police spent yesterday looking for a missing pensioner, Pauline Churm, 72, from North Wingfield. Her disappearance is said to be ‘out of character’ and there are concerns for her welfare.

* A SCHOOLGIRL who went missing from her Sheffield home last week was found safe and well over the weekend. Courtney McAssey, 14, of Wadsley Bridge, disappeared on Wednesday. She was found in Sheffield on Saturday afternoon.

Test-drive scam

A CAR salesman on a test drive was knocked to the ground by a man who stole his £22,000 pick-up truck.

The salesman, from Monty’s on Penistone Road, Sheffield, had taken a red Mitsubishi L200 Barbarian to the car park at Greno Woods, Grenoside, where he had an appointment to meet a supposed ‘Forestry Commission’ employee.

But the appointment proved to be a scam to lure him to the remote car park, where the vehicle was stolen.

Colleague Matt Jeffrey said: “We want other dealers to be aware this has happened.”

Flowers to rescue

FIREFIGHTERS were called to a house on Norton Hammer Lane, Norton, Sheffield, after the flame from a candle set fire to a pair of curtains. A woman in the house used water from a vase of flowers to douse the flames at 8.30pm on Friday.

Trainers stolen

A MAN had his trainers stolen from his feet in a street robbery. The 24-year-old was targeted on Lockoford Road, Chesterfield, at 2am on Friday, by thugs who also stole his wallet.
