Learn how to grow your own food

GREEN fingered Sheffielders can sign up to a new grow-your-own food course. The £50 Ediculture Course ‘for health, wealth and happiness’ promotes organic self-sufficiency over 10 sessions. The course begins on March 4 and runs every Monday from 7pm to 9pm. Call 07771 832 759.

New school peek

RESIDENTS have been helping police carry out speed checks in Brimington and Tapton, Chesterfield. A Community Speed Watch scheme aims to drive speeds down.

Car set ablaze

A VAUXHALL Zafira burning on Crowder Avenue, Southey Green, Sheffield, had been set alight deliberately. Firefighters were called to tackle the blaze at 5am yesterday.

Well done taxi firm

CITY Taxis raised £7,000 for Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity’s Do Your Bit campaign at a golf tournament, bringing their firm’s total to £23,000 in 10 years.
