NEWS IN BRIEF:

Primary children flock to concert

A CONCERT for Doncaster schools, Sir Scallywag and the Golden Underpants, by award-winning composer Paul Rissmann, sold out in under two hours.

Over 800 seats were snapped up by 12 local schools for two concerts at Priory Place Methodist Church on March 18 that will introduce primary school children to a host of musical instruments and singing techniques.

Music in the Round is also staging a performance for families on Saturday, March 16, at 3pm. Tickets are £8 and £6 for concessions from the Civic Theatre.

Threat to club

Bawtry Town Council has been told the youth club is in need of more volunteers.

Without them and more interest from youngsters it’s doubtful it will continue.
