Children’s clothes shop wins award

The winner of the annual Best Dressed Christmas Window competition, organised by Tickhill Town Council, is the Petit Enfants childrenswear shop on Castlegate.

Mayor Raymond Hill presented a trophy and judge Sylvia Taylor gave highly commended awards to Castlegate DIY and Tickhill Fish Bar.

Jane’s reward

Misterton Parish Council’s Citizen of the Year, Jane Moffett, who helped to raise thousands of pounds for the restoration of the All Saints’ Church roof, was the guest of honour at the switching-on of the area’s

Christmas lights.

Parking concern

Liberal Democrat councillors in the Bessacarr and Cantley ward have asked police for a crackdown on inconsiderate parking on Ellers Avenue by parents dropping off and collecting children from Bessacarr Primary School.
