NEWS IN BRIEF:

Italian Christmas

MEMBERS of the Tickhill-based Italian society Voglia d’Italia will be celebrating the festive season at their annual Christmas party tonight.

Their Italian themed session of fun, frivolity and food starts at 7.45pm in the Tithes Lane Pavilion.

Carol concert

A TORCHLIT carol concert will be held in Conisbrough town centre tonight from 6pm.

The service will be held from 6pm followed by hot soup and a roll for those taking part. Those attending should bring their own torch.

Brass favourites

THE Brass Players will be warming up a winter’s night with a Christmas concert tonight from 7pm.

The Thorne Rotary Club event takes place at Bentley Pavilion and the £10 entry includes mince pies. Pay on the door. Proceeds go to local charities.

Seasonal market

ConiSBROUGH Christmas market and fairground will be held from 10am to 4pm on Saturday at Church Street.
