NEWS IN BRIEF:

Fuel tank theft reported to police

thieves were active in Bawtry when a full fuel tank was removed from a Toyota pick-up truck at business premises.

The tank containing around £80 worth of diesel was partly unbolted and partly wrenched from the chassis of the vehicle, which belongs to Stephen Davis.

It was securely parked outside his memorial masonry premises in Church Street and South Yorkshire Police are investigating.

Lunch concert

trumpet player David Tonkin will be performing on Wednesday at the Lunch-Hour Concert for members of Doncaster Arts and Museum Society at the Chequer Road gallery from 1pm. Admission for non-members is £4.

Flood recollection

local resident Pam Goodchild will be telling fellow members of Tickhill Methodist ladies fellowship about her experiences of Floods in Tickhill when they meet tomorrow afternoon in the Northgate chapel.

Pub crawl

Doncaster Campaign for Real Ale members are planning a Wetherspoons pub crawl in the town centre on Thursday, November 29, starting from The Red Lion at 8pm.

Health checks
