Murdered girl’s devastated parents pay tribute

THE devastated parents of Doncaster schoolgirl Casey Kearney have paid tribute to their daughter after her death following an alleged stabbing.

Casey died of her injuries on Tuesday night at Doncaster Royal Infirmary after the incident, and police closed Elmfield Park while they carried out their investigations.

A family statement said: “Losing Casey has been so painful words cannot begin to explain. She was the most beautiful, intelligent and bright young girl with her whole life ahead of her.

“We need time alone with family and friends to start to come to terms with our loss.”

A woman, 26-year-old Hannah Bonser, of Cusworth House, Doncaster, was due to appear before Doncaster magistrates this morning charged with murder
