Mum’s words of pride in boyband son Louis

SOUTH Yorkshire pop star Louis Tomlinson’s mum is beaming with pride again today - after the singer’s band picked up more awards and headed for the top of the charts.

Louis, one of the five members of boyband One Direction, has plenty to be pleased about after the group picked up three prizes at the MTV European Music Awards.

They were not able to collect the awards in person, however, having just released second album Take Me Home - the follow-up to their international chart topping debut, Up All Night. One Direction’s second effort is currently at the top of the UK iTunes album chart and is enjoying a top 10 position on both sides of the Atlantic.

Louis’ mum Johannah, from Bessacarr, Doncaster, tweeted to her son: “School ride listening to Take Me Home. Your sisters loved it! We are so proud.”

Singer and songwriter Ed Sheeran collaborated with the boys on Take Me Home, which seems set to break more records.
