DON Valley MP Caroline Flint has given her backing to a campaign to beat the bullies.
The MP joined pupils at Thorne’s Green Top Primary School to support Anti-Bullying Week, addressing the assembly and hearing about work against bullying.
Caroline said: “I don’t think even adults who remember being bullied as children are always aware of the many forms bullying takes today – including cyber-bullying.
“If you start being bullied – tell others – tell your friends and tell adults. Bullies only win if bullying stays hidden.”
Head Neil Butler said: “Caroline praised the school for having playground buddies, feelings circles, friendship contracts and an emotional wellbeing co-ordinator to help the children solve problems.”
