A MOTORCYCLIST died after becoming trapped under a car in a horror crash.
Firefighters were forced to lift the a car off a motorcyclist after he ended up trapped beneath the vehicle.
Crews were called out to Lime Grove, Swinton, Rotherham, just before 7am yesterday and found the biker trapped underneath the car.
They lifted the vehicle off the casualty and released him, but he could not be saved and was pronounced dead a short time later.
Police said the 43-year-old man, who has not yet been named, was involved in a collision with a silver Vauxhall Vectra, which pulled out of Gleneagles Rise and turned right onto Lime Grove.
The blue Honda motorbike was travelling along Lime Grove when the vehicles collided and the biker was thrown from his machine and trapped under the car.
A police spokeswoman said: “The motorcyclist, from Chesterfield, sustained multiple traumatic injuries.
“The 54-year-old male driver of the Vectra, was from Swinton, and was not reported to have been hurt.”
