Match in aid of tragic Lewis

A CHARITY fishing match is to be staged for the family of tragic teenager Lewis Eddleston.

The event will be staged near where Lewis lived in Clay Lane to draw in cash for his family in the wake of the tragedy.

Lewis, aged 13, was found dead in a ditch off Hungerhill Lane, Edenthorpe, three days after going missing after leaving a group of friends on playing fields in the village.

His family, of Wilberforce Road, Clay Lane, were involved with friends and neighbours in a search for the Hungerhill School pupil before the grim discovery was made.

The charity angling match will take place in nearby Sandall Park on December 18.

Further details are available from organiser Lucan Handley via email at lucanhandley@googlemail.com
