Police are appealing for witnesses following an incident on a bus in Doncaster.

A 55-year-old woman got on the number 55B bus from the interchange at 10.10pm on Friday 17 January and sat downstairs, on the back seat.

A man, described as being white and between 30 and 40 years old, then got on the bus at Regent Square and sat next to her.

He reportedly then touched the woman inappropriately before getting off the bus.

South Yorkshire Police want to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident, including one ‘extremely tall’ man, described as being of retirement age, who got on the bus in Hall Gate.

Anyone with information should call South Yorkshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 1323 of January 17.
