Raiders stole laptop computers and mobile phones from a Sheffield shop two days after a neighbouring convenience store was held up by armed robbers.

Cartridge World on Bellhouse Road, Firth Park, was targeted at around 1.30am on Thursday.

Thieves smashed the front window to grab a haul of valuables from inside before fleeing.

Two days earlier two armed robbers brandishing a gun and knife held up Select and Save on the same street.

The robbers threatened two members of staff with the weapons before escaping with cash from the tills.

Officers alerted to the latest raid arrived at the shop with police dogs to try to track the offenders down.

Eye witnesses gave accounts of what they had seen and heard.

Anyone with information on the culprits should call South Yorkshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
