Jail for burglar over Doncaster house raid

COURT: Court Case

COURT: Court Case

A BURGLAR who raided a house in Doncaster while the occupants were still at home has been sent to prison.

Paul Potts, aged 38, was spotted in the back garden of the property at Cross Bank, Balby, after the householder went out to investigate noises.

He got into the house to via the back door while the residents were in the house. He stole pet food items and an electrical appliance.

Potts, of Carr View Avenue, Balby, was later arrested and pleaded guilty to burglary at Doncaster Crown Court. He was jailed for 40 months.

PC Andy Hotchkiss said: “Burglary is an incredibly intrusive and disturbing crime that often leaves victims feeling violated and no longer safe in their own home.”
