Hunt for village sex attacker

Police are appealling for information about a sexual assault in Branton, Doncaster, earlier this week.

A 26-year-old woman was walking along Doncaster Road, Branton, in the direction of Cantley, at 11.40pm on Monday when she was attacked by an unknown man. He grabbed her near the kunction with Mill Lane.

Afterwards she attempted to signal for help from a passing driver and officers would particularly like to trace the driver of a light coloured family-sized car, which was travelling into Branton from Cantley at around midnight.

The woman was wearing blue jeans and a black cardigan with a skull and crossbones motif.

Call South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting incident 144 of March 5 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
