Police investigating the alleged theft of a suitcase on a train in South Yorkshire say a woman has handed herself in.
The train was travelling between Doncaster and Manchester Picadilly stations on Friday, February 21, when the luggage disappeared from a baggage rack.
British Transport Police said a 23-year-old Doncaster woman had placed her grey travel case on the luggage rack.
It disappeared between 7pm and 7.20pm after two girls allegedly got off the train in Sheffield.
Now, following an appeal for information from the public, a 14-year-old girl from Darnall, Sheffield, has handed herself in to British Transport Police.
A spokesman said she was interviewed and then released on police bail until May 18, pending further enquiries.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40, or text 61016, quoting incident reference NEA/B8 of 4/3/14.
