Snap yourself testing a smoke alarm and win a free pizza, fire bosses have urged.
South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service is offering £10 Pizza Hut vouchers for people who send them photos spreading the safety message.
The safety drive comes ahead of planned strikes this weekend, when severely depleted crews will cover the area from 6pm until 10pm on Friday and Saturday.
Bosses are keen to highlight the dangers of cooking after a night out and the importance of having smoke alarms that work properly.
Phil Shilito, head of prevention and protection at South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue, said: “Offering pizza vouchers might sound frivolous, but there is a really important message we want to share. Cooking is still the biggest cause of house fires. With two strikes in the evening, we’re asking that people are sensible and take extra care in the kitchen.”
