Four in court over robbery

THREE teenagers and a man have appeared in court over a robbery in which a pizza delivery worker was stabbed.

The suspects - two aged 17 and the others aged 16 and 22 - were arrested and charged after a 43-year-old man delivering pizzas was attacked on Nursery Road, Dinnington, at around 9.30pm last Tuesday.

The takeaway worker was taken to Rotherham District General Hospital with serious, but not life threatening, stab wounds.

In addition to the robbery charge the 22 year-old is accused of possessing an offensive weapon, and one of the 17-year-olds is charged with two counts of assaulting a police officer. A 20-year-old woman arrested over the incident has been released by police on bail pending further inquiries.
