Barnsley Interchange and a multi-storey car park in the town have closed due to flooding.

All services are currently diverted in Barnsley two centre after the bus station shut.

A Stagecoach spokesman said: “We apologise for any inconvenience caused by these diversions.

“We will update this message when we have further information, please note that services may continue to be disrupted over the weekend.

“For the latest information follow us on Twitter @Stagecoachyrks or call Traveline on 01709 515151.”

The car park, adjacent to the market on Kendray Street, closed at 4pm today.

Motorists who have vehicles parked there are asked to access them using the ramps only and not the stairwells.

It is expected to reopen tomorrow.
