MORE than 20 awards were handed out last night at South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service’s annual bash.
The event took place at Barnsley Metrodome and was hosted by Seth Bennett from BBC Radio Sheffield.
Among those nominated for their efforts in 2012 were members of staff, partnership organisations and members of the public.
For the first time SYFR staff tweeted the winners on social networking website Twitter, as they were announced.
