Fashion shop ‘on brink of collapse’
YOUTH fashion retailer Republic – which has stores in Sheffield, Meadowhall, Doncaster and Chesterfield – was expected to call in administrators today.
A spokesman at the store on Fargate in Sheffield confirmed they were aware of the news, but could not comment.
The chain could become the latest casualty of the high street, putting 1,000 jobs nationally at risk.
