Driver unhurt in tree crash

A YOUNG man had a lucky escape when his car smashed into a tree near Hickleton crossroads.

The 21-year-old Skellow man had to be cut out of the Peugeot 207 after it hit the tree on Barnsley Road and the engine was forced into the passenger compartment.

His legs were trapped but he was not badly hurt in the crash on Sunday night.
