Doncaster’s civic mayor welcomed with parade

Dozens of people joined the civic mayor of Doncaster, Councillor Pat Haith, at the annual civic service and parade.

The event began with a parade from the Mansion House to Doncaster Minster before a service, led by the Reverend Canon Dr Paul Shackerley.

The event was held to commend the civic mayor to her term of office.

Coun Haith said: “I am very excited to welcome the people of Doncaster to the civic service and parade. Doncaster is a wonderful place and I am very proud to be civic mayor.”

Coun Haith was inaugurated into the role on June 13, alongside deputy civic mayor Paul Wray.

Her charities will be DonMentia, a dementia charity and the Children’s Fund at DRI.
