News: Local, national and international news 24-hours a day.

A 95-year-old woman was the target of a bogus caller who entered her Doncaster home.

Police are appealing for information after the man entered the house of the elderly woman in Armthorpe about 1pm last Thursday and requested money for work he claimed he had done on the house.

No work had been done to the house and when the woman told him this the man left empty handed.

The man is described as late 40s, stocky build and was wearing dark clothing, dark-rimmed glasses and was carrying some sort of papers.

If anyone may have seen this man or has any information to help officers identify him, they are urged to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 435 of December 6 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
