Doncaster man convicted of aggravated burglary

Scales of Justice

Scales of Justice

A Doncaster man has received a hospital order without a time limit after being convicted of an aggravated burglary.

Scott Blackie, 34, of Sarrius Court, Cantley, appeared at Sheffield Crown Court for breaking into a flat in the same block on Monday, April 30 last year.

He assaulted a man who was 50-years-old at the time of the incident.

The man sustained cuts and bruises to his arm and head after being hit with a metal baton.

Investigating officer, PC Della Leasley said: “This was an unprovoked attack on an innocent man, who suffered injuries. The gravity of the incident is reflected in the sentence he received.”
