Doncaster crime round-up June 6 - Thief steals school children’s milk

The following crimes were reported to Doncaster police on June 6. Anyone with information please call South Yorkshire Police on 101.

Woodlands: Two crates of milk were stolen from outside Woodlands Junior School at 6.50am on Thursday. The thief is described as a white male, of average height and was wearing a black hooded jacket, navy blue bottoms with white stripes.

Wheatley: One man has been arrested and one injured after a fight broke out involving around 20 people at Wheatley Hotel in Wheatley Hall Road around 10pm on Thursday.

Armthorpe: £1,400 of items were taken from Mere Lane on Thursday between 12.30am and 6am after thieves entered the property through an unlocked door. The items stolen include an iPad, two mobile phones and jewellery.

Mexborough: Car keys, a purse containing £20 and a digital camera were stolen from a house in Wildene Drive between 1.30am and 8am on Thursday after thieves entered the property through an unlocked door. The car was searched but nothing stolen from the vehicle.

Scawsby: Thieves stole five rings worth £2,000 from a property in Winchester Avenue after gaining entry through an open window between May 16 and May 21.

Norton: £700 of fishing gear was stolen from an internal garage in Langold Drive between Wednesday 10pm and Thursday 7am. The garage door was forced open.

Arksey: Power tools worth £200 were stolen from a shed in Almholme Road between Wednesday 11pm and 8am Thursday after thieves forced the door open.

Rossington: A pedal cycle was stolen from a shed in Skipworth Gardens between May 29 and June 4 after thieves forced open the door.

Sprotborough: Around £2,000 of golfing equipment was stolen from a garage in Main Street between May 31 and June 5.

Hexthorpe: A mountain bike costing £350 was stolen from Wabtech in Hexthorpe Road between 7am and 3.30pm on Wednesday.

Bessacarr: A pair of £50 sunglasses were taken from a red Ford Fiesta car in Rose Hill Rise between 8.30pm on Wednesday and 7.30am on Thursday. A briefcase was also stolen from a grey Nissan car in St Wilfred’s Road between 11.30pm on Wednesday and 7am on Thursday. The two incidents are thought to be connected.

Stainforth: A purse containing £120 in cash and house keys that were left on show were stolen from a silver BMW car in King George Court on Thursday between 8.45am and 9.30am. The back passenger window was smashed.

Highfields: A Sat Nav and jacket were stolen from a silver BMW that had been left unlocked in South Street between Wednesday 8pm and Thursday 7am.

Thorne: Lead was stolen from a bay window in Columan Street on Thursday between 1.40pm and 3pm.

Norton: Plants and hanging baskets were stolen from a garden in Arundel Road between May 30 and June 6.
