The following crimes were reported to Doncaster police on July 17. Anyone with information should call police on 101.

Thorne: A father and son both had their cars badly damaged in an arson attack early today. The Toyota Corolla and Vauxhall Corsa were parked outside a house in King Edward Road when they were torched just after midnight.

Mexborough: A spate of shed break-ins in Chestnut Grove, Maple Road and Lynwood Drive took place during the night but only one had property taken from it - a BMX bike.

Armthorpe: A £150 mountain bike left insecure outside the leisure centre in Mere Lane was stolen in a 45-minute period yesterday morning.

Wheatley: A man was arrested a few streets away after the window of a car parked in Highfield Road was smashed around 10.30pm on Wednesday.

Bentley: A satnav was stolen from an insecure car parked in Haslemere Grove on Tuesday night.

Rossington: A ‘for sale’ sign outside a property in St Michael’s Avenue was set alight on Wednesday night and the flames also damaged the hedge.

Intake: Criminal damage of £1,000 was caused to Jackson’s butchers in Sandringham Road when a brick was thrown through the window on Wednesday night.
