Dog dies after being mauled by another dog in Doncaster attack

CRIME: Crime scene.

CRIME: Crime scene.

POLICE are trying to trace a young woman whose dog attacked another dog, causing fatal injuries.

On February 28 at approximately 4.25pm, a 47-year-old man was walking his dog, a Border Collie, in Newlands Park, Cusworth, close to the Trans Pennine Trail.

At the same time, a young woman is believed to have been walking three tan coloured, large dogs, possibly around the size of a greyhound.

One of the dogs is then alleged to have attacked the Border Collie, causing injuries that later resulted in its death.

The young woman is described as white, around 16 to 17-years old and 5ft to 5ft 3ins tall. She has shoulder length dark brown hair and was wearing blue jeans, a dark coloured jacket and dark coloured boots.

Anyone with information on the incident or the identity of the woman is asked to contact the police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111, quoting incident number 806 of 28/02/2013
