efit of sex attacker police want to trace re Langsett Road sex assault September 2011

THIS is the face of a sex attacker police want to trace following an assault on a woman in Sheffield last weekend.

Police investigating an allegation of serious sexual assault on a woman in her 40s in the Hillsborough area have released this efit of a man they want to speak to.

The man was possibly Asian, in his early 30s, 6ft tall, ‘normal build’, with jet black hair to his jaw line.

His hair was parted in the centre and was slightly wavy.

The attack is reported to have taken place at around 10.30pm last Saturday, September 24, in a wooded area off Langsett Road in Hillsborough, close to the Bamforth Street Supertram stop.

Officers are also appealing for a private hire taxi driver to come forward.

He is believed to have been in the area at the time and later transported the woman to the Parson Cross area of Sheffield.

Detective Inspector Philip Etheridge said: “We are appealing to anyone who has any information that can help us to find the person responsible to come forward and speak to us in confidence.”

Call South Yorkshire Police on 0114 22 02020 quoting incident 331 of September 25. Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.
