An OPERATION aimed at helping Derbyshire Dales residents protect their homes from burglary will head to the village of Monyash in the Peak District next month.
The Operation Illuminate visit was originally due to take place in January but had to be postponed due to the snow.
Police from the Derbyshire force will head to Monyash on Thursday, March 21.
They will set up a mobile police station stocked with a range of cut-price home security gear including outdoor lights, timer switches, door chimes and shed alarms.
The aim is to help residents make their homes more secure during the darker nights.
The operation is being run by Derbyshire Police and Derbyshire Dales District Council who are part of the area’s Community Safety Partnership.
