A father of five who spent three weeks in hospital after a hit and run is urging those with information about the driver responsible to come forward.
Mohammed Younis, aged 61, was left with a fractured hip and a number of broken ribs when he was struck by a car as he was crossing Owler Lane, Fir Vale.
One month on from the collision, and still recovering, Mr Younis urged the driver who failed to stop at the scene to come forward.
He also asked witnesses to contact police.
Mr Younis said: “I don’t remember much about the collision other than lots of people gathering around me when I was lying on the floor.
“I spent three weeks in hospital and have still got a long road to recovery ahead of me. It is difficult to move around and I’m still in a lot of pain but thankfully I have the support of my family.
“I would urge the driver of the vehicle to call police in order to assist their enquiries, as well as anyone who saw what happened.”
The vehicle is believed to be a BMW, in either a blue or purple.
