A male cyclist has died following a collision with a car on the A61.
The incident happened this afternoon on the Dronfield bypass, with police called to the scene at 3.25pm.
An air ambulance was called but the cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident caused heavy tailbacks after the road was initially closed in both directions.
A spokesman for Derbyshire Police said the northbound section of the road has now reopened but the southbound section remains closed.
