Church elders come together

Members of the Sheffield Diocesan Synod will be updated about the work of Church Schools across the region when they meet in Rotherham on Saturday at 9am.

Bishops, clergy and laity will gather at the Elim Christian Centre to hear Huw Thomas, Diocesan Director of Education, explain the importance of the Church of England’s work with schools.

Elected representatives travel to the Synod from all over the Diocese which includes Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster and parts of Barnsley.

Those not able to attend can follow the proceedings on Twitter via @dioceseofsheff
