Charity appeals for additional Sheffield volunteers

A cancer charity is appealing for caring people in Sheffield to volunteer for two special roles within its fundraising groups.

The positions with Marie Curie Cancer Care involve attending fundraising group meetings every four to six weeks and helping to organise fundraising activities.

One role is within the established Rivelin Valley fundraising group, based in and around the Hillsborough area, while the second is within a new group being formed in the south east area of Sheffield.

Kate Holdsworth, local community fundraiser for the charity, said: “We’re looking for individuals who are organised, enjoy working as a team and have a genuine interest in supporting the work of Marie Curie locally.”
