Body is missing Lewis

Lewis Morley - known as Lewis Eddleston

Lewis Morley - known as Lewis Eddleston

THE body of a boy found dead in Doncaster yesterday has been formally identified this afternoon as that of 13-year-old Lewis Morley, known as Lewis Eddleston.

Lewis’ body was found in a ditch close to The Boulevard, Edenthorpe, at around 10.30am yesterday.

A post mortem examination has found the cause of death to be drowning.

The indication is Lewis died a short time after he was last seen by friends on Sunday evening.

His death is not being treated as suspicious.

Family liaison officers are continuing to support Lewis’ family.

South Yorkshire Police thanked the local community for support provided in the search for Lewis, which officers say was complicated by a number of false sightings reported on social media sites like Twitter and Facebook.
