A MOTORCYCLIST has been killed in a road smash.
The 27-year-old was riding his yellow Yamaha bike along the A61 Chesterfield Road in Shirland, near Clay Cross, when he collided with a Skania lorry.
The victim, from Alfreton, Derbyshire, suffered serious injuries, and the air ambulance was called out to help, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Derbyshire Police are investigating the fatal crash and appealing for information.
