Big-hearted businesses urged to help homeless

Businesses in Sheffield are being invited to donate food and other supplies as part of a charity appeal to help homeless people in the city.

The Cathedral Archer Project is asking people to collect dried and tinned foods, condiments, snacks and toiletries for its annual Harvest Appeal.

Donated items will help the charity provide breakfast, lunch and food parcels for homeless and vulnerable people.

Sheffield-based PR agency HR Media is among the organisations backing the appeal.

Jill Theobald, cfrom the firm, said: “The Cathedral Archer Project carries out such vital work across our city, helping Sheffield’s homeless and vulnerable population to get the food and supplies they need to stay healthy and clean.

“We’re proud to support such a worthwhile cause and hope other organisations across the city are inspired to play their part in helping this vital charity to carry out its work.”

The Cathedral Archer Project was founded as a breakfast project in 1990 and supports around 60 people each day.
