CELEBRITY Juice star Keith Lemon is all set to squeeze into Doncaster later today to meet fans.
The host of the risque ITV comedy panel game will be dropping into the Frenchgate Centre this afternoon – when hundreds of shoppers are expected to turn out to meet the comic sensation.
Lemon, better known as comedian Leigh Francis, arrives fresh from the success of summer blockbuster Keith Lemon: The Film, which hit cinema screens earlier this year and comes hot on the heels of the success of Celebrity Juice which has become one of ITV’s biggest hits in recent years.
Famed for his ‘bang tidy’ catchphrase, bleached mullet, ginger moustache, fake tan and thick Yorkshire accent, the star will be on home soil when he arrives at the Frenchgate Centre branch of WHSmith to sign copies of his memoirs, Being Keith, which is expected to be among this year’s list of Christmas bestsellers.
A spokesman said: “We are expecting quite a turn out for Keith – so people should be prepared to arrive early.”
The comic, who first found fame with his Channel 4 Bo! Selecta series in 2000, has since seen his Lemon character become a household name after hosting the ITV show with Holly Willoughby and Fearne Cotton which has become renowned for its outrageous games and jokes.
The signing will take place at the store from 12.30pm to 2.30pm today.
A number of big name stars have held book signings at the store down the years, including glamour model Katie Price, who brought the shopping mall to a standstill with thousands turning out to catch a glimpse of the star at a signing.
