Award builds on council’s work

Excellent ‘partnership working’ in the building industry by Rotherham Council has won authority the ‘Client of the Year’ title at the Celebrating Construction in South Yorkshire Awards held at Cutlers Hall in Sheffield

The council was nominated for the challenges it faced during the building of new council housing at Wood Street, Thrybergh.

Receiving the award Tracie Seals, Programme Delivery Manager, said: “Rotherham is immensely proud of this.

“We attribute it to lots of hard work and collaboration on the project.”

Coun Rose McNeely, Cabinet Member for Safe and Attractive Neighbourhoods for Rotherham Council, added: “This award recognises that we are prepared to tackle even the most challenging of sites to develop new homes.”
