A MAN has been arrested and bailed over an assault in Sheffield which left a man with serious head injuries.
The 28-year-old victim was allegedly kicked and punched in a vicious beating at his flat on Mawfa Avenue, Gleadless Valley.
Witnesses said shouting was heard from the property just after 8am on Monday.
Police confirmed they were called to reports of a serious assault, and that the injured man was taken to the Royal Hallamshire Hospital.
A man aged 23 from Sheffield has been arrested and released on bail pending further inquiries.
