A new star is born next week - with The Star’s popular web site getting a brand new look to enhance our paper experience online.
About 600,000 people a month already visit thestar.co.uk
And they are looking at more than a million pages a week - making it one of the most popular news and sport web sites in the north.
Now we have listened to feedback from our audience and from Monday our desktop version will have a great new look, making it even easier to navigate.
All your favourite content will still be available and existing registered users will be able to use their current log-in for commenting. But you will find three distinct editorial sections, bringing everything together - news, sport and what’s on.
Sheffield, Barnsley, Rotherham, Doncaster and Chesterfield will have their own news pages, with the addition of Worksop and the High Peak.
Sport, features and columnists will also have a bigger home page profile.
We have an extended the moving picture carousel, at the top of the home page, and it will showcase all content, with a mini version on the right of every article page, called Picks of The Day.
There’s also an improved player for our videos with more content coming than ever before.
Our new What’s On section will have direct links to our amazing www.wow247.co.uk listings site, where you will be able to find thousands of events happening near you.
In addition, out tweets, offers and services are more prominently displayed. So too is our contact information, for when you want to get in touch, book an ad, subscribe or buy photos and other things from us, like holidays.
To make sure we’re giving you what you want, please let us know what you think by commenting online at thestar.co.uk
