Train services are returning to normal as Storm Doris appears to loosen her grip on Sheffield.

The twice-hourly train service to London looks set to resume in the next few minutes, while the Birmingham line was still delayed.Delays to Manchester were clearing. Earlier, a blockage on the London line at Luton was causing problems for commuters.

They were being told to change at Derby. The Met Office still has a warning in effect.

Brisk north to northwesterly winds were expected to clear as the night went on.

Isolated wintery showers are still expected.
