Stainforth girl Maizie Cherowbrier, who has Down’s Syndrome, and her sister, Kerry, helped organise a sponsored walk by 25 people who raised more than £3,200 for charity.

Six-year-old Maizie presented the cheque to British Heart Foundation officials at Stainforth Community Centre.

A knight out

A GOOD night is in store for Tickhill and District Local History Society members on Thursday when they meet in the Methodist Schoolroom to hear guest speaker Simon West talk about knights in armour and also present a live demonstration.
