LISTED: Meadowhall reveal these new shops and exciting store refurbishments will open this year

Meadowhall is set for an exciting revamp this year with FIVE new stores set to open at the shopping centre.

The Star reported yesterday that high-street designer clothes store Flannels is set to open at the end of this month in Meadowhall.

Mexican fast-food restaurant Barburrito is also due to open this week but the joint owners of Meadowhall have now announced further openings for this year.

British Land have revealed that Neal's Yard, Godiva, Tag Heuer and Nespresso are all set to join Flannels this year.

There will also be refurbishments for House of Fraser, All Saints, Hollister and Hugo Boss in a move set to be welcomed by customers.

A £60m refurbishment of the shopping centre is currently underway with 42 brands also investing £16m in redesigned stores since the start of refurbishment last year.

A further 31 store reformat projects are currently taking place, due to complete in line with the culmination of the refurbishment programme towards the end of the year.

New Openings

Flannels - Set to open a 10,000 sq ft store in May, selling a range of luxury men’s and women’s designer fashion items from brands such as Vivienne Westwood, Hugo Boss, Stone Island, Belstaff and Paul Smith.

Neal's Yard - The organic natural health and beauty retailer will open a 700 sq ft store in the summer with a therapy room for wellbeing treatments.

Godiva - The luxury Belgian chocolatiers will a 1,700 sq ft experience-led concept store in August, including a café and a boutique showcasing the brand’s chocolate artistry and products.

Tag Heuer - Located next to Goldsmiths and opposite Reiss, the luxury Swiss watch manufacturer will open a 1,820 sq ft store, its largest in the UK.

Nespresso - The market leader in premium portioned coffee will open a permanent 1,200 sq ft store in Park Lane next to L’Occitane and Jigsaw.

Refurbishments

House of Fraser - The department store will undergo refurbishments completing in September this year and introduce new brands to the store including Kate Spade and Ralph Lauren handbags.

All Saints - The British fashion retailer will install a new double height shop front in its 6,800 sq ft store.

Hollister - The American lifestyle brand has regeared its lease and will refurbish its 7,500 sq ft store and install a new double height shop front.

Hugo Boss - Set to refurbish its 5,200 sq ft store located next to Diesel and House of Fraser to showcase its new menswear brand.

River Island - The fashion favourite will be upsizing and refurbishing its store creating a new 21,000 sq ft unit

PLUS - There will be eight new retail signings and upsizes for Primark, SportDirect, Wilko, Timberland and schuh kids, along with the UK flagship for Second Cup.
