Lillia inspires charity auction

CLUB Baize in Beighton is to host a charity auction to raise funds for Sheffield Children’s Hospital on Saturday, March 9.

The evening has been organised by friends and family of Lillia Reading, aged three, who suffers muscular myopathy, a rare form of muscular dystrophy.

In her short life Lillia, who lives in Hackenthorpe, has required a dozen operations on her eyes, legs and feet due to complications.

The auction, which will include signed Sheffield Wednesday and United shirts, memorabilia, spa treatments, and a host of other goodies, has been arranged as a thank you to the hospital where Lillia receives treatment.

So far the sell-out event, which starts at 7.30pm, has already raised £2,000 just from ticket sales.
