Life on Mars star's Hamlet
LIFE on Mars actor John Simm will star as Hamlet in Sheffield's Crucible theatre next year.
The actor will perform the lead role in the Shakespeare play in September.
The casting reunites him with Sheffield's associate director Paul Miller, who worked with Simm on Elling, which originated at the Bush Theatre before transferring to the West End and for which Simm was nominated for an Olivier Award for best actor.
As well as Life on Mars, set in the 1970s, Simm's other credits include Dr Who, The Lakes and Cracker.
