The grief and hurt is plain to see on the faces of tragic Jasmyn Chan’s parents.
Nothing will ever bring their treasured daughter back but they are pleading that the person responsible for her death comes forward.
Jasmyn, or Jazzy as she was known, sounds like a beautiful young lady who had a bright future to look forward to.
In an instant, as she protected her friend from being run over, she was taken away from all those who loved her.
Finding out exactly what happened will help in the grieving ahead for everyone close to her.
The Star would echo the plea of Jasmyn’s parents, Paula and Peter, for whoever was driving the car on Normanton Hill, Intake, Sheffield, on Friday night to hand themselves in.
Someone, somewhere knows exactly what has happened and is scared of what may happen next.
But we would urge them to do the right thing and contact the police.
At the press conference yesterday the police said they are searching for a ‘small, dark coloured’ car which would have ‘noticeable’ damage to the driver’s front side.
They added that they are also talking to garages and asking those in the motor trade to report cars being fixed.
