VOLUNTEERS are being sought to help create Whirlow Hall Farm’s new orchard.
The centre, which hosts trips by Sheffield schoolchildren who come to learn about farming and the environment, is planting English apple, pear, plum and cherry trees.
A spokeswoman said: “The trees have arrived and are now ready to plant with the help of volunteers.
“This new area will provide additional learning activities for children visiting the farm and, of course, will add to our collection of produce in the farm shop.”
The trees are to be planted in an area in front of the existing vineyard, which has been fenced off ready for the orchard project.
