A SOLICITOR raised nearly £900 for charity by taking part in a national scheme encouraging people to leave legacies in their wills.
Lauren Smith, wills and probate solicitor at Graysons in Sheffield city centre, took part in Will Month. She offered her services free to clients who made a will and included a legacy to St Luke’s Hospice in it.
In total her efforts raised £860 for the hospice.
Lauren said: “Will Month is an excellent scheme which helps to fund the vital work that St Luke’s does in Sheffield.
“The generosity of local people who leave legacies to such charities is always good to see, but I am also pleased the campaign has helped to encourage people to write their will and so save their families and loved ones from the uncertainties of intestacy.”
