PENSIONERS received an introduction to the wonders of the worldwide web as part of Adult Learners’ Week.
The Spring Online event at Crystal Peaks Library was run as a digital taster session for older or less confident users of the internet.
The event was one of nearly 2,000 sessions which have been held throughout the UK this week. Organised by Digital Unite, Spring Online is one of the biggest digital inclusion campaigns of the year.
Sheffield Homes staff members helped tenants to find their way around the internet, find the best deals when shopping online, and find out how to order and renew library books. Nearly seven million over-55s in the UK have never used the internet.
